It is well balanced left to right and the arches add interest by breaking up the verticals and horizontals. Your comment on colour statue. Yes it does tend to lose some perception of scale, as you are no doubt aware I cloned out Brownhills which as you say is probably a good idea. the image with buildings in it actuall does not look that bad and may be better as a mono image.
