Good choice. Great crop, as usual. 15 Oct 2009 10:14am @Ted: Experimental to be honest Ted. Blithfield must be the most boring, blandest reservoir in the country. I've been trying to photograph the place for a couple of years now. This I think is as good as Its going to get. Mike from Shell village, United KingdomHi Mike, you have a good eye to spot those curves. Nicely processed too. 16 Oct 2009 2:19am Michael Skorulski from Cigel, SlovakiaLove the sensual curves of this shore. works really well in b & W. 16 Oct 2009 4:45am P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomNot sure about this one, I see there have been lots of positive comments and of course each to their own. I can see the thing with the curves and leading lines but do people ever get really critical on here. Top edge and water slopes to the right, tones not that punchy although this is how you may of wanted it and nothing stands out that is particularly interesting. Now I know you can take critisism Mike (I think), this is just my subjective evaluation, you have provided us with much better stuff with the previous few images. Down the pub Monday if you not heartbroken. Have you got a colour version of this for comparison 16 Oct 2009 5:21am @P J W Miller: I'm not sure where you get the sloping water from Pete. But anyway, like I said to Ted (Not sure if you read it), it's just a bit of experimenting with curves. Most of the photos I put on here these days are the ones I'm not too convinced about so I don't mind negative feedback. It's good to have other people's thoughts. P J W Miller from Chase Terrace, United KingdomMike, it's just a little 1.2 degree list emphasised more by the fact my monitor at work is on the piss, a bit like me soon 16 Oct 2009 9:37am bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaSuch beautiful framing..love the water and how it sparkles. 16 Oct 2009 12:42pm E.B from VOUZIERS, FranceUn sentiment de déjà vu ! Bravo! http://ebourdon.aminus3.com/ 17 Oct 2009 11:46am Godo from Barcelona, SpainHi Mike, 21 Oct 2009 10:02am Bishop from Houston, United StatesI agree with Miller's point about the horizon sloping unnecessarily to the right... not sure what he means by the tones not being punchy, though. However, overall I like the image for its lines - I do not think that we always need "one" single object to focus our attention, some times it is the gestalt view that predominates! Just my two cents worth. :) 22 Oct 2009 4:24pm narcís from Girona, Catalunya, SpainM'agrada el joc de corbes. Bona composició!!! SALUT!!! 26 Oct 2009 10:45am |
