to the voice of (Dervla Kirwan) the M&S food ads:
this is not just any bale of hay, it uses the cut grass as lead in lines, it has the feature of the tree, excellent tone and wide angle composition topped by a dramatic sky...this is classic Mike!

@Ted: Thanks Ted. With regard Dervla Kirwan, she could even make sweetbread wrapped in tripe sound appalling!
Lovely photo Mike!....those wheels of hay are so photogenic.

A remarkable photography in its perspective, it brings harmony and peace. A great sense of composition. And a great sense of poetry, as well. Of course.

Fine composition, great image!

Awesome composition and wonderful light - perfect in black and white!

A great composition with the diagonal between the hay bale and the tree. The angle of view gives a lot of depth to the scene and the strong B&W suit well.

11 Oct 2009 7:30am
Excellent lighting and depth of field.

I like your non-standard take on this type of shot - the norm tends to be a huge bale of hay in the foreground and polarising filter overload! This has a certain sadness to it to it though I'm not sure why.

this is so wonderful in every way
